This rhetorical element refers to the reason behind our writing. In this class, we had three main purposes for our assignments: to persuade, to educate/inform, and to entertain. Each assignment had a different purpose. For instance, in my Technical Description, my purpose was “to share this knowledge with others through my technical description, hoping they would also gain this understanding.”While in my persuasive memo it was to persuade sports athletic director Steve Macias for a outdoor sport complex. As shown below. Through my persuasive memo in hopes that they can be persuaded into making a change. Throughout the composition of this assignment, I would work to make sure my content was tailored to this purpose as I included as much reasoning and ideas and much more to persuade Steve Macias more.
