This rhetorical element is understood as the type of writing someone creates. Before this class, I rarely considered genre in my writing assignments. Although i was introduced to it in English 110, it was in this class that I truly understood its importance. Learning to analyze and compose content to meet genre requirements greatly improved my writing. For example, including an abstract is crucial in most writings, while the qualifications and expertise section is vital in proposals. Paying close attention to these key components ensured my work accurately represented the required genre, and I believe I achieved this in every assignment.
