“Acknowledge your and others’ range of linguistic differences as resources, and draw on those resources to develop rhetorical sensibility”
Working in groups required us to collaborate and leverage each other’s unique contributions for each project. Through interacting with our peers, we were able to learn and evaluate the knowledge and skills each person brought to the table. These interactions were crucial for completing tasks such as the lab report, group proposal project, and job posting assignment. Before composing the sustainability project, we had to discuss and reach a consensus on the topic as a group. Effective communication was essential throughout this process, as we shared our insights and knowledge to enhance the report. We also had to align on the direction of our report components and address any misunderstandings or issues others encountered.
Creating the group project proposal demanded a similar level of collaboration, but on a larger scale since it involved working on a single document and presentation. The job posting assignment required particularly unique collaboration because most of our planning and composition had to be done remotely, given that it needed to be submitted on Blackboard.
